The Sherman Public Library Winter/Spring VolunTEEN program is for students ages 12 – 18 and runs from January 9 through April 29. The purpose of this program is to allow teens in the Sherman area to enhance job skills, gain work experience, and grow as an individual while contributing to the library. VolunTEENs will be credited service hours for time spent volunteering during scheduled shifts.
Types of tasks and duties you might be asked to perform as a VolunTEEN: helping with Summer Reading prep, cleaning and straightening the public areas, shelf-reading books to make sure they are in order, cleaning toys and other items that are used by our guests, program/event prep, and helping us facilitate programs with the public.
All applicants will be notified via email within a week of submitting an application. If you do not receive a reply, please inquire at cassiew@cityofsherman.com.
Please contact Youth Librarian Cassie Wickline cassiew@cityofsherman.com.
