The Finance Department is responsible for the accounting, budgeting and treasury functions of the city including:

  • Accounts payable
  • Banking
  • Budget preparation and monitoring
  • Cash receipting / collections
  • Cash / debt management
  • Financial report preparation
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Grant writing and accounting
  • Internal controls
  • Miscellaneous accounts receivable
  • Support of the other city departments in their financial and budgetary affairs.

    Payments for special trash pickups are also made in the Finance Department.
