
Responsibilities
The Finance Department is responsible for the accounting, budgeting and treasury functions of the city including:
- Accounts payable
- Banking
- Budget preparation and monitoring
- Cash receipting / collections
- Cash / debt management
- Financial report preparation
- General ledger maintenance
- Grant writing and accounting
- Internal controls
- Miscellaneous accounts receivable
- Support of the other city departments in their financial and budgetary affairs.
Payments for special trash pickups are also made in the Finance Department.
