The Texas Clean Rivers Program
Established in 1991, the Texas Clean Rivers Program (CRP) is a state fee-funded, nonregulatory program that was created to provide a framework and forum for managing water quality issues at the watershed level within each river basin in Texas by coordinating the efforts of diverse organizations, including the City of Sherman.
Sherman’s Laboratory Services Department works in partnership with the Red River Authority of Texas to monitor stream sites in the Red River Basin that surrounds the Sherman area according to Clean Rivers Program guidance.
The public is encouraged to become involved and participate in this important program. If after you have reviewed the associated websites above you need additional information or would like to provide comments or become personally involved, please send an email request or call 940-723-2236.
