1.
How do I obtain bid packets and tabulations?
Bid packets are available on the City's website, at www.publicpurchase.com or by calling the Finance Department at 903-892-7309. Bid notices are posted on the website and published in the newspaper, the Herald Democrat, at least 2 weeks before the bid is due back to the city. Vendors may register with Notify Me under E-Services on this website to receive notification when a bid is posted. Additionally, bid tabulations for completed bids may be accessed on
this website.
2.
How does the city dispose of surplus property?
The City of Sherman's current auctions are listed at
Rene Bates.
3.
How do I become a City of Sherman vendor?
The City purchases through government co-ops whenever possible. Vendors can register through one of these co-ops listed on the Purchasing Department's main webpage. Except for goods and services that are bid out, the city's purchasing function is largely decentralized. Vendors should contact the department responsible for procuring the vendor's particular goods or services. A directory of city departments in available on
this website.
